I just looked up Danish Illegal Fertilizer Trading and read an article dated 17th Feb.
They have found that the problem affects many farms.
Large numbers appear on the customer lists of the two perpetrating traders.
More than 15,000 T of fertilizer was sold illegally by one dealer.
One group traded in illegal fertilizer and another in illegal fertilizer and pesticides.
More than 500 truck loads crossed the German border.
So it was widespread and I'm glad that it has been stopped.
Some well known farmers on the customer lists have been named, including Prince Joachim.
...That's not to say that these customers knew of the origin and illegality of the products.
One, Martin Nielsen, has stepped down off the Agriculture and Food Council while investigations are pending.
The worry for Danish people is the contamination of the water table, streams, drinking water etc and of food produced.
I wonder what has been found out in the last six weeks??? Any more contamination etc?
