I don’t know - I think this is just a bad pic, no? I mean, others I saw of her that the general public took close up weren’t like this. Not that she hasn’t lost weight since the last baby or hasn’t had work done, because both have happened. I just think this picture is more the result of unfortunate timing, angle or whatever, than anything else.

When I see photos like this it makes me think that Kate is a very hands on parent compared to wills. She's got three kids under six, I defy anyone to not look tired and haggard. I know they have nannies, but given Katie's reactions with her own children, and children she engages with when working, I think she's a lot more hands on than we credit her for. Maybe if she put on a little weight her appearances would look less severe, but I don't see that happening any time soon!

It’s not so much the parenting that makes mums with young kids haggard it’s trying to do all the household chores as well and I somehow don’t see Kate trying to juggle doing the laundry, get the dinner on the table whilst helping with homework and feeding the baby and worrying at the same time how she’s going to get the supermarket run done and Wills shirts ironed. I like Kate and Wills as parents, I’ve always thought they were both very hands on and part of their kids lives, but I’m under no illusion as tomthe amount of help they receive that the rest of us don’t. |

Kate looks tired to me in these photos. She is very thin, but on Christmas morning she looked like a good power nap in the afternoon would help immensely.

We know the family does a formal gift exchange even in the evening of Christmas Eve and we know from what Kate said, the children were up early, presumably opening their gifts from Santa. She then had to do full hair and makeup for the church walk, so she has probably had about four hours sleep.

Welcome to my and the world of a lot of other people. I do 4 hours a night on weekdays but I don't look as haggard as she does. |

Eh, when I don’t get a good night’s sleep I look pretty terrible. Plus the holidays can be stressful, not to mention it’s flu and cold season. Who knows if Kate was up with the kids, trying to get them to feel better? I mean, she could be technically getting 6-8 hours of sleep, but that could mean getting woken up every 1-2 hours.

her face, well, cheek looks strange. what's that sag, or whatever it is underneath her cheek? not body-shaming, but she looks too thin to me. is there a less than size 0?

The musculature around her mouth... She is very thin indeed - she must be sooo cold all the time. I really wouldn't mind if she gained a few pounds. Then again, at least she has a nice chin  |

she's definitely slim, but I don't think she is TOO thin. even in those jeggings you can see she has some good muscle mass. I think it's just that she has no hips and a naturally boyish figure that makes her appear slimmer in certain silhouettes
