What is that visit about with the Royal Opera House? Probably because Charlotte has private ballet lessons from The Royal Ballet? Where's this sudden interest in costume design? Really weird event for her I think. Seems more up Sophie's alley because she's promoted fashion and design.

I think she has always been interested in ballet. There were reports, when she was just married, that she was going privately to the Opera with Charles.

QEII is the Patron of the Royal Ballet, so this might be one that she's preparing to pass on to Catherine.

I would have thought that QEII would pass the Royal Ballet to Charles as he has a well documented history of enjoying the ballet.

Perhaps its being handed to Catherine (if that is indeed the case) as Charles already has a lot of patronages and will get more when he becomes monarch (ie the ones where the monarch is the patron)

According to the announcement: “textile and manufacturing industry is an area of interest to the Duchess. Her Royal Highness’ great-great-grandfather, Francis Martineau Lupton, was a mill owner who ran the family’s successful textile manufacturing business, William Lupton & Company, with his three brothers.”

She seems to be taking a keen interest in her ancestors lately

I doubt she truly has an interest in it but like her cousin said during the engagement, unless it’s about her she isn’t keen, to use their favorite word! It seems a very tenuous tie in.

Supposedly Kate’s big dream after leaving St Andrews was to start a children’s clothing line. It ended up being too much money, too much work, too much something and it never took off.

Point being, there’s supposedly some sort of interest in clothing/fashion there.

Thumb up LW that Kate has interests/ has rekindled her interests. . Just commenting on the emphasis of the PR strategy of the Cambridges in recent months Eliza B has cottoned on to.

I just want to know when they're going to split the foundation because that's a mouthful and not really necessary.

I agree. Whomever sends the information to the papers that print the CC manages to do so in a timely fashion which is typically the next day. However the online CC will frequently forget to update with events that were publicized.  Blink It's bizarre.

The whole BRF website is a mess.  I could design something better in Wix.  Spain, Sweden, and Norway all have nice simple, clean, easy to use websites.  Denmark isn't too bad.  Neither is Belgium.  The Netherlands isn't horrible...just a bit fussy.  I don't really go on the others.

The biggest problems is too many fully staffed offices that don't talk to each other.  They need one press office...with a press officer assigned to each office as the primary...not a press office per royal.  Monthly meetings for the Private Secretary's would keep the whole lot organized.  Also the Queen's cousins should be pensioned out by the time Charles is King.  Then you'd have 6 offices...Charles & Camilla, William & Catherine, Harry & Meghan, Andrew, Edward & Sophie, and Anne.  And only 10 working...down from 10 offices and 15 working (now that Philip is retired).  That's shrinking the family by a third.
