Haakon visited Stovner Committee on the occasion of the telethon "Stand up against injustice" today.
The sign says "Stubborn against injustice 21. October!"

I always wonder if they (MM and Hotkon) have any significant impact on all the international events they are attending. What is wrong with staying in Norway and representing/ promoting Norway?

But Norway is a significant player on the international scene, particularly in terms of humanitarian aid.  The amount of money given to developing nations and international health and environmental programs is much more per capital for Norway than almost any other country.  So it makes sense for both Haakon and Mette-Marit to be so active in the international sphere.

On Tuesday he attended the meeting of the Chief Committee as a member of the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics in Lillehammer. He also tried some curling himself and got one of those famous trousers from the Norwegian curling team (although this has a rather decent pattern)

Mette should be with her husband at these things. She is his wife/Consort and she is supposed to be there, not in India playing at finding enlightenment.

BUt she should not be so active in the fashion/jet set sphere.

Such a pity that bedroom gymnastics isn't an Olympic event; Kate would have been a gold medalist of several years standing.

She can't. No
Nobody knows who MM is (my close people, coworkers, ). And even a top politician here said on TV Norway has a president some time ago (truth Yikes). And she is a stupid person (on my book) but a lot of my coworkers had to google Norway to see why she is a stupid cow
when i told them Norway is a constitutional monarchy.
MM and Haakon have to decide what is more important to them and putt their buts to work and put the Norway on the Europe map ( for all the stupid people here in Europe who don't have a clue who they are).

I think she can do both.

She can do both only if she can handle both (like Maxima). Obviously she can't, so she should serve Norway first, that's where she gets her paycheck. MM is very stubborn, she does what she wants, I doubt she listens to anyone including her husband.

Norway is RICH. Doesn't need much. Great that Hotkin is doing great work internationally - massive contrast with the ineffectual, lazy Freddles.
