Message to the King of Tonga who Haakon met in 2019
https://www.kongehuset.no...?tid=200709&sek=26939

Your Majesty

I was saddened to learn about the devastation and destruction caused by the eruption of the Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha’apai volcano on 15 January and the subsequent tsunami.

I have fond memories of my visit to your country in 2019 – the warmth of your people, the beauty of your land. But I also recall the vulnerability of Tonga’s coastline and challenges related to extreme events.

On behalf of the Royal family and of the people of Norway, I wish to convey my deepest sympathy to Your Majesty, the rest of the Royal family and to the people of the Kingdom of Tonga at this difficult time.

Haakon
Crown Prince

In Queen Sonjas art-stable there will be an exhbition about the car inhe royal house. The Crown Prince will be present for the opening on february 10th.

Some of the main attractions in the exhibition are the A1 Buick Roadmaster from 1939 which is probably the most famous of the Royal House's cars, King Haakon and the Royal House's first car - A-201 Minerva from 1913 (on loan from the Technical Museum) and A4 Packard One Eighty from 1942 - a hidden tax in the car fleet. This car was bought during the war and was in active service until well into the 2000s - during state visits and for the transport of ambassadors. We assume that it is the only one of its kind in Europe today.

Wow, Haakon the hunk is really starting to look more and more like his dad. Not that this is a bad thing.

Oh my, if there's one thing that I find more attractive than a handsome man in uniform it's a handsome man with nice, old cars.  Swoon Haakon looks really happy, and the royal mews are beautiful. Very nice pictures.

Norway is often quick to take the lead in humanitarian work. I am not surprised that they are trying to get on top of the situation in Ukraine already.

Haakon visited the town of Kirkenes today to meet the locals and hear how it feels like to live close to the Russian border after the country's invasion of Ukraine.

Kirkenes is located in Sør-Varanger municipality, which is the only municipality in Norway that borders Russia.
