Haakon and the minister of digitalisation Karianne Tung got stuck in an elevator in Seattle, this got the police and the governor Jay Inslee very stressed and in the end they had to climb out on a ladder. The minster joked that she now had a good question to "who do you wan to get stuck in an elevator with" and when they got out Haakon suggested taking the stairs to get back out.

Good for him being cool & good humored about it (at least visibly). Being stuck in an elevator is one of my worst fears.

He has always struck me as a quieter, very agreeable, laidback man but interesting to talk with. Much better days 2 and 3 with the single breasted jacket but baggy pant legs!

Sigh. I miss the King at this event. (I understand why he's not there, I just miss him.)
Haakon has no "presence." He could be any soldier. Actually, a real soldier would be better.
Still, a dull-ish heir is better than a drunken (Fred) or crazy self-centered (ML/Harry) one.

Anne is on a 2-day visit to Norway as patron of the Anglo-Norwegian Resistance Commemoration Project. She visited Norway's Resistance Museum together with her godson Haakon where they unveiled a plaque commemorating the intelligence cooperation between the two nations during the World War II

Haakon will travel to Normandie for the D-day memorial. King Harald will not travel as expected. I dont think there will be many more forreign events for him. I do wonder what they will do about outging state visits, there has not been one since Jordan pre-pandemic, and now he really should make one for Denmark and Netherlands who have new monarchs who has already visited him. Soon I guess there will also be state visists from Finland and Iceland that haswilll have new Presidents, and Belgium and Spain should also make visits in time.
