Haakon attended the celebration of the centenary of the Dovre Railway Line. The railway line, which was opened in 1921 by King Haakon VII, is 548 km and runs from Oslo to Trondheim

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon began today a four-day official visit to the United States. The main goal of the visit is to help strengthen international cooperation, as well as the good relations between the USA and Norway.

Together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Petroleum and Energy and the Minister of Trade and Industry, the Crown Prince will visit the UN, meet with the American authorities and the business community.
