Poor Sonja! I hope she gets well soon.

I can't help but wonder how far the actions of her daughter, daughter-in-law and step-grandsln have contributed to both Sonja and Harald's heart issues.

They should have done a better job raising their children then. While they are not responsible for the actions of others, it’s safe to say key elements of parenthood were missing since BOTH of their children have really gone astray and made some big errors.

Both ML and Haakon have been - are - extremely spoiled and have seemingly not been taught a very strong sense of gratitude about their position in life. Considering their story I am not surprised Harald and Sonia have spoiled their children but I am surprised both children are so entitled..

Its hard to instill a sense of gratitude and humility in children that were raised in a permissive environment. They end up believing that their wants are needs which are required to be met.

Loosely translated as:

Norwegian Queen Sonja has received a pacemaker

Update: 5 hours ago

Norwegian Queen Sonja's pacemaker has been successfully placed. The 87-year-old monarch will have to stay in the hospital for one or two more days, the Norwegian court reported on Thursday morning.

The court also reports that Sonja is doing well. King Harald's wife was briefly in the hospital for observation last weekend due to an irregular heartbeat. The queen went back to the hospital on Wednesday evening for her operation.

King Harald also received a pacemaker last year. The king had become ill during a holiday in Malaysia and had to undergo surgery upon returning home.

The 87-year-old Harald has been king since 1991 and is currently the oldest monarch in Europe. He has been admitted more often in recent years due to infections and has previously undergone heart surgery.

Wishing her a quick recovery.  Looks like their rotten kids literally have broken their hearts (sarcasm)

I am not sure if it's been mentioned here before, but I just found the series "Harald & Sonja" (called The Commoner here in Australia) on Prime and watched the first episode last night. It's a fictional account of their "forbidden" romance and the nine year fight they had to be married. It feels very much like The Crown, but I am enjoying it so far. The dialogue is a bit stilted at times as it's been dubbed in English. Have any other dishers watched?
