Is there a biography about her? I read a bit about her in other books (Queen Victoria's Granddaughters, and I found a catalogue about her fashions that I'd love to buy) but she must have been an interesting person. Shy and strong-willed, a tomboy with a famous wasp waist. Can't have been easy to grow up under the smothering wings of Mother Dear ;-) with her everlasting youthful beauty.

Carreen, "Born to Rule" is the closest to a biography of her that I've read (excellent book BTW even though there are inconsistencies it's an easy read). She and her sisters really suffered from being in their mother's shadow and at her beck and call. Sadly, they had no chance to fully develop into women of their own so I feel there isn't really much to write about them.

Thank you! I'm off to look for the book :-) Even if there is not much to write about them - the time, context and circle of acquaintances ;-) are certainly interesting! Their dynamic with the rest of the family, all this whispered gossip.

PS: Turns out I have the book on my Kindle already - bought it some time ago and didn't read it!
