Judging her German based on this clip alone, sheís probably on the same level as me. I can read aloud and I understand some but I have next to no active vocabulary. I was taught 5 years in school but I havenít used it much since then so itís rusty, at best.
Iíd say thatís very normal for Scandinavians. At least for Danes.
I've listened to her speech now. Basically she has some accent (of course!) and pronounces some words differently than they're in German (f.e. stand rather than schtand=st pronounced a bit like in Sh
etland Islands). Or mixes up words/languages f.e. says "helpen" instead of "helfen."
She seems nervous at first, but gets better and more confident with time.
I guess MM wrote the speech herself? If so it's really good. There're some grammar mistakes German native speakers will instantly notice (like: in der Augen vieler Kinder...rather than: in den Augen...), but otherwise she has a good command on German.
