Supporting the launch of designer Nina Skarra in NYC, yesterday. She's wearing Nina Skarra.

With Peter Dundas (head designer of Pucci)

With Hanneli Mustaparta (famous fashion blogger; hanneli.com)

She looks good.

The event is pathetic, she is really a waste of space, much worse than Moshy or Waity IMO.

Jet set to NY is away too much. What else is she going to do in New York ? Shopping ? Clubbing ?

Well I googled and couldn't find any pics if she went to the CI Gala but I did stumble upon this little snippet. I don't know if it has been posted or not so apologies if its a repeat.

#2 Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway

This won’t come as a surprise to any avid readers of this column, I love myself a European royal. (If you grew up in pre-Internet Missouri like I did, the storied houses of Europe’s monarchies were sometimes all the fuel that your imagination could get its hands on.) But instead of seeing yet another shot of Kate and Pippa Middleton in their high-street duds, I was happy to lay my eyes on this lovely lady — I mean princess! — from Norway. Mette-Marit looks regal enough in her tailored black jacket and just a little bit playful with her tiered floral skirt.

She was there, but no official pictures, only this;

Quote
The picture is of actress Claire Danes, and the photographer is obviously not aware that the only royal at the party is in the background.
The Palace confirmed that the Crown Princess was present at the celebrity heavy party, but they will not comment on the picture since it was Mette-Marit's private program.

- The Crown Princess has both private and official program in the U.S., says Marianne Hagen, communications manager at the Royal Palace, to minMote.

Baaaad dress.

I think the appearance at the designer launch is okay. Norwegian designers need all the attention and support they can get, as the industry is almost non-existing here, very few actually have any success.

Good find linnpinn!  Smiley Star

Yes, that dress is horrible. She looks like a cross between a 1970s Country singer and a Little House on the Prairie extra.  Dead

I bet Mary is sooooooooooooo jealous that MM got to go.  Halo

If she wants to support Norwegian fashion, she should wear more clothes from Norwegian designers like her SIL instead of being addicted to Valentino and other big Italian labels. Thus my impression is that she is more interested at jet set parties in NY than the Norwegian clothes  Thumb down.
