Well there's a blast from the past. I know the movie is new but I read the Mrs. Harris novels way back when.

Norwegian King Harald gives speech: 'Family really put to the test this year'

Update: 23 hours ago

For the Norwegian royal family, 2024 was a year in which the family was really "put to the test". That's what Norwegian King Harald said in his New Year's speech.
"For many people, 2024 has probably been a year of regularity. For some, a year in which life took a positive turn. For others, the year in which everything fell apart," Harald said at the beginning of his speech. "For us as a family, this was a year in which we were really put to the test. A year in which we have become even more aware of what is important in life."

"No one is spared from pain and adversity," the 87-year-old king continued. "Some are hit harder than others. But unfortunately, no one can avoid experiencing bad things in life. Each of us has to find ways to cope and try to get through it." The Norwegian royal family has faced several setbacks this year. For example, Harald was admitted to a hospital in Malaysia in February after contracting an infection and was fitted with a pacemaker. There was also a stir about the marriage of Princess Märtha Louise to the self-proclaimed 'shaman' Durek Verrett. Later in the year, there was also the affair surrounding Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit from a previous relationship. Høiby is suspected of assault and rape, among other things.

It never seizes to amaze me how this balanced man can be the father of ML and the father of Haakon who, of all women he met, thought MM was the most suitable to become his lifelong partner.

It’s just lip service. He’s reading words he likely didn’t even write.

Judging from how his children and one grandson have turned out, I’m going to guess he wasn’t the best parent/authority figure.

His family is put to the test this year because of all their shitty decisions and choices.

I have no respect for this man.

After Norwegian King Harald, his wife Sonja will also receive a pacemaker

By our entertainment editors

Norwegian Queen Sonja will receive a pacemaker this week, the Norwegian court announced on Tuesday. King Harald's wife was admitted to hospital for observation last weekend due to an irregular heartbeat.

The court announced that the procedure will take place on Thursday and that Sonja will be admitted to hospital on Wednesday evening. After the operation, 87-year-old Sonja will remain in hospital for one or two days.

King Harald also has a pacemaker. The 87-year-old king fell ill last year during a holiday in Malaysia and was fitted with a permanent pacemaker upon returning home to Norway.

Harald has been king since 1991 and is currently the oldest monarch in Europe. He has been admitted more often in recent years due to infections and has previously undergone heart surgery.

Poor Sonja! I hope she gets well soon.

I can't help but wonder how far the actions of her daughter, daughter-in-law and step-grandsln have contributed to both Sonja and Harald's heart issues.
