Princess Elisabeth bequeathed one of her most important ( from a historical POV) jewels to the Amalienborg Museum !
The Coronation diamond brooch
, made by Fabergé for the 1896 coronation of Tzar Nicholas II.
It was a gift from Nicholas II to Grand Duchess Anastasia Mikhailovna who was Elisabeth's grandmother.
Eighteen brooches were made at that time and only three are still known to exist.

Great that it will be available for the museum. Does anybody else see the face of a fly (insect)? Just me? Okay...

It seems a small piece but it's quite beautiful. I'm glad that, thanks to Elisabeth, the pubic will be able to see it
