In my area in Germany last weekend a man armed with a bow and arrows disarmed four policemen and took their pistols and escaped into a forest because they were too frightened to shoot him - and they are frightened because if they had harmed him, they would have gotten public criticism.

And Caroline wouldn't have wanted him if he was poor, black and untitled.

Nah, the police treat rich white assholes like him like one of the family. They only shoot or arrest poor people here.

I saw a photo of him on a German news-site, taken in July 2020.  He looks like hell.  Very thin and wasted away.  I don't see how he can live much longer.

Where is Ernest's Austrian estate?

They have several. Their main family seat is Schloss Marienburg https://de.wikipedia.org/...oss_Marienburg_(Pattensen)
It is privately owned by them but in a state of really bad repair. The son of EA who is also called EA had a huge auction years ago, selling a lot of furniture and art to get money to renovate the castle. But ... it turned out that EA senior had so much debt run up that there was hardly any money left.

The sold some adjoinging fields and buildings next.

As the hill the castle stands on needs to be stablized and there does not seem money for it, EA junior agreed in 2018 to sell it for 1Ä to the state and they would do it up. At this point EA senior intervened and said that would not happen. He took legal action against his son. So it is still owned by the family, but basically rotting away ...

Brought over from the Caroline thread:

Prince Ernst Auguste of Hanover , husband of P Caroline is in jail

https://fr.news.yahoo.com...novre-mari-200821214.html

Yikes
Quote
Following accusations of physical and mental abuse as well as coercion on domestic workers, the Austrian city court of Wels has indeed ordered the arrest of Caroline of Monaco's husband.

What a downward spiral, I feel so sorry for his children. Cry

More from the (google translated) article:

Ernst-August de Hanover, now 66 years old, is the target of a complaint filed by one of his servants. The alleged victim claims that the prince threatened her and her husband, both in the service of the Duke of Brunswick, and behaved in a way that threatened their physical integrity. The father of Alexandra of Hanover, Princess Caroline's youngest daughter, is said to have uttered threats against his domestic workers before ordering them to "leave", promising them to send thugs on their tail if they do not. were not performing. The prince is also accused of having damaged a road sign and degraded objects belonging to the Cumberland Foundation which manages the heritage of the Hanover family.
