Many have noted here and elsewhere that Camilla wears somewhat oversized, shapeless dresses.  I’m now pretty sure that for official occasions requiring a lot of standing around and socialising, she wears a significant back brace to help her cope with the effects of her osteoporosis.

What is embarrassing about osteoporosis?  It’s usually genetic or meds induced (steroids are a risk factor).  It’s not communicable.  It’s most often present in spines but in older adults, other bones, especially hips, can become brittle too.  Everyone loses bone mass as they age.  Osteoporosis is just a more severe presentation of that.  Please look it up.  Everyone should know about osteoporosis and osteopaenia, the less severe presentation.

Do look up osteoporosis Geta. It's information all women should have. 

When you get to a certain age your physician should order a DEXA scan to check your baseline bone density. It's a simple scan that goes from your neck to your upper legs.

Cams smoked for a good part of her life and that is bad for your bones. So the brace, along with some rather nice but sensible shoes she's been seen wearing occasionally make sense.

Been out of town for work so just catching up on a lot - these are beautiful pictures! Their happiness with one another is so evident. I can't believe it's been 20 years - here's to many more for them

I remember this as one of her Majesty's events most associated with her. It's a very moving day in Easter Week. Can be quite confronting even emotionally.

Chucks color in his face is better...but his hands    look so painful

His hands look incredibly painful. I still wonder if he has scleroderma.
