Passing of the guard, bless him. Hope he is enjoying pottering around in the garden and taking it easy more, the past few years have been tough on him but he hasn't missed a beat.

It’s hard to see the baton passing.  First, Wimbledon, now this.  It’s unfortunate but time does March on and I hope he has some relaxing time ahead.  He’s been a faithful royal family member for the late Queen and now Charles.  Take your last salute, Sir.

This event actually brings a tear to my (crabbed, cynical) eye.

Rather like when Prince Philip performed his last solo public event, with the Royal Marines.  😔

With the utmost respect, I say job well done Sir Knight. Beer
What a life of service. Glad he bowed out while he could enjoy seeing the tributes from his regiment, important for the servicemembers who served under him to celebrate him like that as well.

The Duke of Kent has visited the recently redeveloped Blackheath Halls in South London.

The project to modernise the interior of Blackheath Halls has enabled it to be more accessible and welcoming to the local community.

Lady Gabriella has moved to KP and is living with her parents, and the public Memorial Service for Thomas will be the weekend after the Trooping of the Colour.

Very good and decent that the tabloids left the family alone with their grief. And good that she moved back to her parents. The public memorial service might be difficult for the widow, hopefully the press will not intrude too much, but there are precautions the family can arrange, I hope.
