I have little hope the opening was disappointing and didn't represent Britain's best IMO

I'm glad someone has the guts to say it! The opening ceremony was a confusing mishmash of this and that. It looks like the closing ceremony might be even worse. They're apparently concentrating on British music.

BTW, why did they play U2 on the opening? Aren't they Irish? It's been a very long time since Ireland was part of GB IMO.

I missed the opening ceremony as I was on a plane that time, but I'm definitely going to watch the closing. Popcorn is near me  Icecream

I'm sorry but where is T.Rex again?!  Real mad I guess they feel that Marc Bolan was not a significant artist since they're ignoring him once again...  Angry

Maybe it's the fact that he was Elton John's friend and Elton is nowhere in this shebang either... But it still irritates me!  Ranting

After such a spectacular and quintessentially British opening ceremony the closing ceremony looks like a mess.

Why do they feel the need to do Pretty Vacant again?!  Snore So many great songs have been forgotten. No George Harrison..? And would it have killed them to do Get It On (Bang a Gong) or something. I could go on. Take That? Spice Girls? Oh please...  Crap
