Well the Scottish blood injection by the Queen mum didn't last long
Prince William of Gloucester
Oh yum. See, this is what happens when you inject (extra) Scottish blood into the RF line

According to the late William Addams Reitwiesner's analysis of the ethnicity of the BRF, the Queen Mum could claim a minute 0.10986% of her ancestry as Scottish. She was more English and Irish than she was Scottish. That explains it!
Reitwiesner credited Diana's maternal grandmother, Ruth Sylvia Gill, with the biggest injection of Scottish ethnicity into the "modern" BRF. As a result, according to Reitwiesner, William is 14.4% Scottish. Well, he did have a good spell in his teens, early adulthood before the Windsor/ Mountbatten-Windsor genes mercilessly exacted their toll.http://www.wargs.com/essays/ethnic.html
