She was a remarkable woman, a true feminist. If anyone hasn't read her memoirs you really should. She's one of the reasons I like the name Alice so much. And it was my grandma's name.

According to the late William Addams Reitwiesner's analysis of the ethnicity of the BRF, the Queen Mum could claim a minute 0.10986% of her ancestry as Scottish. She was more English and Irish than she was Scottish. That explains it!

Reitwiesner credited Diana's maternal grandmother,  Ruth Sylvia Gill,  with the biggest injection of Scottish ethnicity into the "modern"  BRF.  As a result, according to Reitwiesner, William is 14.4% Scottish. Well,  he did have a good spell in his teens, early adulthood before the Windsor/ Mountbatten-Windsor genes mercilessly exacted their toll.

It already started Princess Alice of Great Britain and went on with Alice of Battenberg.

If ever the Cambridges have a second daughter, this would be my first choice.
