ARI BEHN REVEALS THAT PRINCE HAAKON SAVED HIS LIFE
The writer almost died drowned during a vacation with the royal family of Norway.
"
I thought my last moment was approaching. Prince Haakon saved me that day", recalls the writer
Ari Behn, the ex-husband of Princess Marta Luisa of Norway, recently revealed that she owes her life to her brother-in-law, Prince Haakon. According to Scandinavian magazine Se og Hør, the writer almost drowned during a holiday with the royal family in Fredrikstad.
A lover of water sports, Ari decided to go out on his own for a kayak trip, but the boat eventually turned around and the writer could not get him back up again. "
The cold water involved me and I thought my end was approaching", he told the magazine. He then decided to swim to the dock, but he began to lose his strength: "
I was drowning." Prince Haakon was at the dock, and when he saw the situation where his brother-in-law was, he swam to take him out of the sea. "
The prince saved me that day. If he had not been there, surely the consequences would have been fatal to me."
But the situation was complicated again when, on the verge of hypothermia, Ari decided to raise his body temperature by getting into a hot tub when he got home: "
I fainted in the tub and almost choked for the second time."
