My overall favourite British royal would have to be Henry VIII because of everything that was inspired due to him. Some of my favourite people to learn about have been Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Katherine Howard, and Elizabeth I. They all loop back to him, so I would have to put old harry himself as #1, I suppose! I find the Tudor period to be very fascinating, and I've had a lot of fun researching it as I write a novel.

Has to be Diana for me.  I can *just* remember watching the Royal wedding and seeing her grow over the years.

I've always been a bit fascinated by Ann Boleyn and Catherine of Arragon, in fact the whole story of Henry viii and his many wives.

Diana was the very essence of compassion, of duty, of style, of beauty. All over the world she was a symbol of selfless humanity. All over the world, a standard bearer for the rights of the truly downtrodden, a very British girl who transcended nationality.

My mother and grandma made me wake up early to watch the royal wedding ( I was about 10) and I remember them tisking about their age difference. I didn’t understand the big deal because their both seemed “old” to me. But it was a beautiful thing to watch to me

I just finished a book you will enjoy: "The Autobiography of Henry VIII, with notes by his fool Will Sommer" by Margaret George.
