Apparently someone else was unconscious at the time of the conception.
BTW that seems an awful shame, Philip in the early forties was a candy gift for the female world. To be unconscious at that particular event seems en par with missing out on the last boat to paradise because one needed to go to the loo first.
And dear Mr. Collins may I say that your last name seems perfectly fitting. Am I completely wrong picturing you like this:

David Bamber's Mr Collins is the gold standard but Lost in Austen's Mr Collins was legit creepy with his "kinks".

David Bamber was great, both ladies AND gentlemen will run at his Mr. Collins  Wink

Just as for me Colin Firth will always be THE Mr Darcy.

Fun fact the fountain scene in Lost in Austen was a copy of the lake swim scene of Mr Darcy in P&P 1995. There is no such scene in the book.
