Not sure where to put this. Vanity Fair Spain compares the Letizia doll with all the celebrity dolls. It includes a Diana doll, a Kate doll and W&K wedding dolls.

The Letizia doll is much better made than the Diana doll and the Kate doll. The hat is too big on William. Did the designer of the William doll try to make a point?  Wink

I think the Letizia doll looks quite good.  I have seen better Diana dolls than the one they show. I work with a woman who has a couple Diana dolls and the Diana bride doll is actually quite a good likeness.

You are right, William's hat is large, what could that mean?

The Kate dolls are just  No  To me, the Kate bride doll looks like a bobble-head probably because the head is not in proportion to the body.

That doll actually looks very much like Diana, down to the shape of her lips.

The Diana doll is beautiful, but to me it resembles the older Diana, not the 20 year old bride who sailed down the aisle of St Paul's, looking very young.

When I was a little girl, Frederick & Nelson, which was the Seattle branch of the American retailer Marshall Field, had a glass-fronted display of really high end dolls. One of them was Queen Elizabeth II, and it wasn't just a conventional doll done up in an Elizabethan costume. Her face was narrow and mature-looking and the details of her costume, complete with farthingale and standing lace collar, were exquisite. I wanted that doll so badly, but she was way beyond the means of anyone but a serious adult collector. And, funny thing, I've looked and looked online in the days since Google image search was available, and I've never seen that doll again. Perhaps it was a one-of-a-kind item. In any case, it remains both an unfulfilled childhood dream and the spur to my great interest in the BRF.
