Edward isn't 'stepping up' to anything - he is doing what he has always done - steadily worked and been either third or fourth hardest worker behind only his older siblings for the past decade or so.

Sophie is also doing about the same as usual. All that is different is that she is now getting media coverage.

This is true. My bad.  Grin

Ed and Soph have done an interview for The Telegraph talking briefly about the Duke’s funeral, their family life and what next etc. It’s the first joint interview they’ve done I think so it’s lovely. The photos are also really lovely.  The most PD’s I think we’ve ever seen from them.

Sophie looks lovely, and I want that skirt and blouse. She and Edward coordinated nicely.

Loved the pictures of them out walking the grounds.

Doggos!  doggos on furniture!

I didn't sign up for the free trial, so I didn't read the Telegraph article, but from the bits and pieces posted elsewhere it seems a good interview.

I'm sure the DM will pick it up/copy it soon enough.  I love seeing the interiors of English country houses!

They seem a happy couple... I’ll ignore the air brush as she is not the young stargazing bride .... but for all that I’ll absolutely give them the tick of approval for all this to support the family 😉

Basically she is the only female in that age range to represent, so she is very important from that point of view as well.
Camilly is 73, Princess Anne 70
Then there is a gap and Catherine is 39, the Yorkies also in her age range.

She has the right balance between regal/ conservative and approachable and she is doing a fantastic job.

Here's an archived link for those who can't see behind the paywall.

I thought it was really nice to read actually. Obviously no hard questions (apart from the obvious which is causing a bit of a stir on twitter) but I like the attitude they present here.

Star for posting the link. It is a very nice piece and they were adroit at sidestepping the issue they did not want to dwell on. Fortunately the interviewer wisely moved on also. It's part DoE, part Sophie and Edward and part family life. Loved that Edward had Mole in his lap while being interviewed.

Well done.

What a great interview!

Agreed, Anne Boleyn - nicely quiet while well-presented article.  I’ve grown to like these two more and more…it’s always the quiet ones that just go about their business without having big egos that constantly need to be thanked and stroked.
