This morning, The Earl of Wessex presented Duke of Edinburgh @intaward to students from across Cyprus.
His Royal Highness congratulated all the recipients on their achievement.



On the Turkish Cypriot boundary in the UK Buffer Zone, The Earl and Countess met UK officers and learned about the UK’s commitment to supporting Cyprus.

UK forces are the largest military contributor to @UKinUNFICYP




The Earl of Wessex, HRH Prince Edward, spent some time out on Dhekelia ranges today speaking to soldiers and getting a closer look at their capabilities. A memorable experience for everyone involved. @RoyalFamily @DefenceHQ

Today in Cyprus, The Countess of Wessex met Women, Peace and Security action groups at @H4Cooperation in the Nicosia buffer zone.
The Countess has long supported the UN’s WPS agenda, which aims to put more women at the centre of conflict resolution - https://bit.ly/3Qo1F0U


Her Royal Highness congratulated Emine and Magda on @WMCMediators’s recent accreditation by the @CommonwealthSec


The Countess also met youth groups taking part in the Young Leaders in Action initiative, a joint @BritishCouncil @UKinCyprus and @program
Her Royal Highness enjoyed hearing about all of the group’s innovative work to improve lives in their communities.

The Countess of Wessex was given a warm welcome by families and personnel based here in Cyprus when she visited Dhekelia’s Early Years Centre today. It certainly put a smile on the faces of the children.

Today we had the pleasure of hosting the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
The Royal couple met personnel and their families serving in @bfcyprus.

They even took the time to officially open our new bowling alley.

So often Edward seems like a tag-along instead of the born royal. 

I think he is out there, engaging, involved, but he reminds me of his dad with the hands behind the back and some of his mannerisms.

A lot of that is because the media focusses on the clothes the royal woman is wearing rather than on the cause etc as well as the fact that he is a gentleman.

He also inherited his father's self assurance. Edward is confident in who he is and what he stands for, without having to make a fuss or a show. He's rather refreshing that way.

I am very surprised that Edward and Sophie were happy to announce this as the public were never told what schools they were attending.

Well done to Louise for doing well on her A Level’s! St Andrews looks lovely so I’m sure she’ll have a lovely time.
