I love seeing videos and photos of Camilla at her engagements, with or without Charles.  With Charles you see how a mutually-supportive couple should go about these things, and alone you see how someone who is more concerned about the cause than herself and her appearance should go about these things. Camilla is always well, and appropriately, groomed, and she interacts well with people and smiles for everyone and for the camera, but makes no attempt to draw attention to herself. It's clear she is sincere, and that she is there to help and to support, not to hog the limelight.  And, yes, I do have someone else in mind whose behaviour I am mentally comparing.  Roll Eyes

Too cute!!  I am a Cam fan because her work is sincere and she and Charles are a great team. Also, it's wonderful to see Arthur Edwards still taking photographs-- 40 years and going strong!

Yeah, I like how Arthur really gets into it in the video.  He seems to really enjoy Camilla's company.  I daresay he might even be a little sweet on her.  Grin

On Valentine's Day, Camilla visited Women's Aid to talk to women about their experiences with domestic violence and how they were served by the charity.  Thumb up to Camilla for her compassion, empathy and picking up a subject that is not warm or fuzzy but can do a real spot of good by talking to these women.

Found this photograph of Camilla, that I do not remember seeing.

It records the jewels as "the large amethyst earrings with the amethyst and pearl heart necklace which was a wedding gift from Queen Alexandra to the Queen Mother."

That necklace is gorgeous!

I have to admit I don't like jewleries with hearts shapes; I find most of them, including the one Camila is wearing, childish.

I feel the same way about them.

I agree. I think heart-shaped jewelry looks like something best worn in junior high school (Grades 7-9).  That said, the color of those amethysts is spectacular.

Camilla was at Boots HQ in Nottingham yesterday. I wish this got more press attention, for it was for a very great cause. It was for the national launch of the Wash Bag Project, which she's championed for ages, to help women after rape and sexual abuse.

So do I. Not a lot of coverage... And the subject deserves better.

http://www.dailymail.co.u...pressure-public-life.html

Between the time I posted in the Monaco thread and went back to link this article.  It changed 100%.  The original wasn't complimentary at all, went into detail about their affair, mentioned Diana, didn't mention her children or brother.  Said her husband turned a blind eye their affair and had the most awful pics.  In that short time...10 minutes at most,  some flying monkey flunkie got to them and now it's all unicorns and lollipops.  Unbelievable, now I've seen it really happen, it's stunning. First one reminded me why I can't stand her, this one just cements the sentiment.  (It was totally whining, poor me, blah blah blah).  Wonder if Chucky called himself?   Did anyone see the original article?

Not in the original article, I think it's safe to say, the total change was demanded or paid for in the interest of protecting their agenda
"Since then she has endured the cruellest vilification when Princess Diana hysteria was at its highest, but is now firmly established in the public’s affection.

Lines from the original article!

1. "the children came and went as normal – they just got on with it – and so did great friends. It was horrid. It was a deeply unpleasant time and I wouldn’t want to put my worst enemy through it."

2. "If ever she became too uppity, she says, her friends would simply tell her: ‘Pull yourself together! Don’t be so bloody grand!"

I really don't think except for these two sentences anything is original.  It's so gushing over the top
