The sharpness of Mary's "M" in her signature bothers me.  I can't quite explain why, but it seems ominous.    Perhaps because it looks like a shark's fin to me.

When I was about 10 or 12 years old, I saw a photograph of QEII's marriage certificate.  I developed a very good facsimile of Queen Mary's signature.  Never got to use it, alas.

Amazing! It is unreadable isn't it? Those are latin letters, are they not? But why can one neither decipher Margareth nor Beaufort? And can I possibly fit another question into this post?

Since in another thread you let us down the rabbit hole of the early tudor beginnings, I read about Margaret Beaufort and learnt that she signed with M.Richmond.
