Hope it's ok to start this: I realized just how many inspirational quotes Diana had and thought it would be nice to have a place to share them (hope other posters will join me One of my favorites: "Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you."

I think this is one of hers and it means alot to me, especially having a child with special needs. I will fight for my children on any level so they can reach their potential as human beings and in their public duties. It signifies the passion most parents have about their children and the lengths we will go to to ensure their have every opportunity.

^ That is lovely freethespoon, IA wholeheartedly “I went to the school and put it to William, particularly, that if you find someone you love in life, you must hang onto it, and look after it, and if you were lucky enough to find someone who loved you, then you must protect it.” ^ It seems to me William has forgotten his mothers advice over the past 11 years...

1. Well, there were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded.
2. Being a princess isn't all it's cracked up to be.
3. I think the biggest disease the world suffers from in this day and age is the disease of people feeling unloved. I know that I can give love for a minute, for half an hour, for a day, for a month, but I can give. I am very happy to do that, I want to do that.
4. Call me Diana, not Princess Diana.
5. People think at the end of the day that a man is the only answer to fulfillment. Actually a job is better for me.

Grace and Diana Fan I love that 3rd quote. This one was reiterated a lot at the time of her death: "I'd like to be a queen in people's hearts but I don't see myself being queen of this country."I think Queen of Hearts is how she'd of liked to be remembered (and is.)

"My first thoughts are that I should not let people down, that I should support them and love them."
"Nothing brings me more happiness than trying to help the most vulnerable people in society. It is a goal and an essential part of my life - a kind of destiny. Whoever is in distress can call on me. I will come running wherever they are."
"I want to walk into a room, be it a hospital for the dying or a hospital for the sick children, and feel that I am needed. I want to do, not just to be."
"I want my boys to have an understanding of people's emotions, their insecurities, people's distress, and their hopes and dreams."

"It's vital that the monarchy keeps in touch with the people. It's what I try and do."

Something Ma missed. I'm surprised the Midds don;t have an entire collection of books on Diana for 'research'.

But you're both spot on that they certainly don't have the ones about her charity work, public persona and/or Royal duties.... Kate (and William come to think of it) should invest in those (or, you know just do what we're doing here - google some of Diana's quotes and think about them, it'd be a start wouldn't it?!)

I will fight for my children on any level so they can reach their potential as human beings and in their public duties. What a shame she isn't here; selfish Willie desperately needs help in reaching his potential in both areas... People think at the end of the day that a man is the only answer to fulfillment. Actually a job is better for me. Take that, Waity, you lazy, worthless tw*t.
