I dunno, I believe that Charlie and Cam are really in love! I like to think that in the merry mess the two of them created they at least love each other.

Whatever love is, or something. Wink

I see what you did there  Smiley Wink

Yes, whatever passes for love between two selfish pampered folk with nothing but their own rabid self-interest in mind and crotch may be, they sure got it.

I've heard Gold's Medicated Powder could assist.

I rather like Charles and Camilla together, to be honest. I know their history is super sketchy, but I do like to think that they've made the best out of their situation, and carved out a little niche of happiness for themselves.

OT but I always admired Camilla's ex-husband for mastering the situation with dignity and very well. Stiff upper lip ...

Absolutely! Star
They were all a part of the 'Swinging Sixties' lifestyle, Charles and Camilla included. Nothing admirable about how any of them handled their marriages IMO.

Do you believe it would have been easier if Prince Charles had proposed to Camilla in the early days and she had accepted his proposal?

According to her brother, she had no interest, so it would be a moot point.

Really?
I always thought I heard she got pissed off and married Bowles when Charles was away doing something and Charles had refused to get serious with her before that.

That's what I heard, too. Charles started Naval service without committing to her so she went elsewhere. Whether in a miff of hurt feelings or just convenience it was supposedly due to Charles' dithering, not disinterest on her part.

I read somewhere many years ago that neither of them actually believed they would be allowed to merry. At least Camilla could not and would not count on it. The time was different.
