I first thought it was corona but it was a blood clot. I hope it isn't to bad and he recovers qukicly. Prayers for the family!

Danish Prince Joachim, 51, had to go to hospital in Toulouse, France, with a blood clot in his brain late last night.

It announces the royal house in a press release.

The prince was operated on immediately and his condition is said to be stable. The Queen of Denmark, Margrethe, has called for calm and the royal family currently has no more information, they announce.

Princess Marie is in the hospital with her husband.

It could be Coronavirus,, it was many people first thougt. Because the infection coagulates blood and makes clots.

If it was Coronavirus wouldn’t he have been kept in hospital for 14 days? He was discharged earlier than that...

I don't know. I just say that it was our first reation, me and my friends.

They don't always keep infected people in hospitals, and sometimes the opposite.

The French minister of Economy, Bruno Lemaire, is tested positive and he will stay home 7 days. I see that it's 7 days now in France (read in several articles). It's too short, I think, it should be 14 days.

“I tested positive for COVID-19 this evening,” Le Maire said in a statement on Twitter, adding that he would remain at home for seven days. “I immediately followed the health measures brought in by the government by self-isolating at home.”

The UK and many European countries have 7 days isolation for the infected person but 14 days for someone who lives with them - as once diagnosed they have already been contagious for probably 7 days.

We saw this with Prince Charles who had to isolate for 7 days but Camilla, who didn't have it but lived with Charles, having to isolate for 14 days.

Is the conjecture that Joachim had Covid actually based on anything? 🧐

Seems to me the danish court was quite open about saying he had a blood clot on brain if I recall? I don’t see why they’d lie/mislead the public. The exact causes wasn’t said but then again may not be known as the priority would be treating it quickly. If there had been anything confirmed about covid then I’m pretty sure the Danish court would have said, they seem very open about illnesses as we saw with Henrik.

Whilst Covid is forefront of everyones mind people still get ill and sick with other things amid the pandemic.

I very much doubt Joachim was ill because of corona. The DRF was quite upfront about them going home from France earlier in the year because Henrik showed symptoms and they wanted him tested by the doctors that knew him.

I agree, but it was a question that arose because heart attacks and AVC are among the most severe forms of the Coronavirus infection.

No one in Denmark has questioned the diagnosis the DRF gave, so I think you have successfully derailed the topic long enough.

Actually, I just answered to that. And people kept answering. Everybody talks about Coronavirus... Let's get back to Joachim, let's hope he's fine now.

Exactly....I think this thread is done, as Joachim has recovered, and nobody would want him back in the hospital for any reason
......moving on.
