Love the smocking on her little dress. It's been years since I smocked a couple of dresses for my girls. Wonder if anyone's still doing it today? I remember how pricey hand-smocked dresses were when my girls were little and can imagine that they are now much much much more expensive.

I love them too!! I had some when I was a little girl, and now I bought one for mine (she is almost 1 year old), to wear next summer, I couldn't resist!  Actually they are not cheap, so to speak, but I found a bargain in shop that was closing and selling everything 50% off!  |

I can't remember the event, but that was early in their marriage, I think. The palace in the background is Fredensborg Slot. I think it was the first "official" event after lil Henrik was born. and it had to do something with Daisy...throne Anniversary or Birthday. Don't remember exactly. |

Marie is warm and genuine. I could never see Borgan embrace step children and if anything she'd make her husband abandon them unless they are hers  The Shacks do have beautiful children, especially Henrik. |

I think Marie has a strong nurturing instinct. Mary does not. And that's not a bad thing - some women just don't have a maternal instinct. But given the four kids are her insurance policy, she probably should try harder.
