I didn't want to clog up the queen's birthday post with an Alex comment so I thought I'd mention it here. I do think its admirable they invited her. She will always be the mother to the two eldest grandchildren. As we've discussed many times this is how a divorce should be handled. Except for the vocal comments about Alex's appenage, all dirty laundry is being kept private. No tell all books or interviews, etc. in the end the children benefit. Nik and Felix appear to be fine young men. Happy with their life with their father and they must be happy that their mother isn't unwelcome at certain family events

IMO they could be a role model for divorced parents. They really deserve praise for that. But IMO then Alex as a role model stops. She turned into a high profile anti-role model (marrying a toy boy, spending too much money, not looking for alternative sources of income).

I agree. Martin has been there for a long time, especially for Felix. It's a good thing that she and Joachim are so good at co-parenting, which must help in a situation like this.

The police stopped him because there is no registered insurance on his car (probably because he had to get a new one, since Alex isn't paying for him anymore..) and he was over the allowed limit. He is "very sorry"
What a gem. Somewhere Alex must sit and be both relieved to be rid of him and embarrased about the whole thing.

The problem will be that if he derails that will cause (more) negative headlines for her as well. Nobody would really care if it was not Alex' ex. It fits the picture: He the rather careless reckless toyboy and this confirms that and falls back negatively on Alex and her bad judgement.

I don't think he'll be a problem for Alex. Most people have commented why this was even in the news, arguing that he's a z-list celebrity. I think most will just understand why she divorced him

I think she will get more and more bad press as long as she keeps getting money from the state. That's the one topic all stories about her end up being about. So, IMO, she is very much in control of how she's percieved by the Danes now. Nothing else really matters.
