Strange that in a city so wonderfully decorated and lit up with most awesome Christmas lights the Amalienborg Palace remains as dark as the royal secrets well hidden...  Thinking But may be I'm missing something here, being a new resident of Copenhagen and all that... Confused

^ Perhaps Mosh spent the Amalienborg Christmas lights budget on a few new pairs of Louboutins Roll Eyes

So you moved house to Copenhagen?

Seem to me a wonderful city to live. After some holidays to Scandinavia avoiding Copenhagen, this summer we finally had a short visit to the city. I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately after some quiet time in the country before the city life had some heavy impact on us.

Yes we now live in Copenhagen enjoying it all to the full. We're quite a 'wanderlusty' family, always going and coming, experimenting, adapting, challenging the world and ourselves.  Blush We've got some modest accommodations in a few countries, but because of my extreme photosensitivity we can't spend much time in the south...  Cool and then work of course. So Denmark it is. Love the place! Btw, we've lived in the Netherland as well,  Hug and we loved it for so many reasons.

Last night we took our evening walk on Amalien's (poorly lit but guarded  Angry ) square, as we often do. Some windows in the residence were brightly on display, so we could witness some loud splendour of the royal interior...

Ha-ha-ha Pixie!  Serves me right, as it were, but I couldn't resist... Blush

Well, there were some big classic paintings on the wall upstairs, portraits in fact, then some smaller ones downstairs, massive astonishing chandeliers, some tasty ornaments on the ceiling, heavy curtains artistically arranged - that sort of thing one can see in your average royal palace  Smiley The rooms looked quite cosy to me. No people around though...

The banquet hall in Amalienborg features a beautiful crystal chandelier and gold detailing on the doors and ceiling.
