I spy Marie too ...

Greatly OT, but are there any royal families who just have "mutts" as pets?   I love a purebred as much as anyone, but it would be nice to see a royal who adopted a mixed breed dog (or cat) from the SPCA.

I believe both of Camilla's dogs are rescues. They're Jack Russells but not sure if they 'purebred' or might be mixes.

There’s not a strong history of adopting pets in Denmark really, and especially not in the DRF.

It might change though. We have been in lockdown for most of a year with many, many fewer travels abroad so many have gotten dogs. My brother and sil are looking for a new dog and they are, as my sil said, “sold out”. I think once life goes back to normal more people will probably shift priorities and dogs will be adopted to other families..

Athena reveals a funny secret about Prince Joachim
Princess Athena and Prince Henrik are very curious when it comes to food. This is what Princess Marie told in the TV documentary "Princess Marie's fight against food waste" on DR1 last night. Prince Joachim is also curious about the kitchen and occasionally tries his hand at homemade pizza.

For Princess Marie, with the TV documentary "Princess Marie's fight against food waste" on DR1, it has been important to focus on the fact that we must utilize food optimally and preferably not throw away too much food.

- "Sometimes we make homemade pizza, says Marie and continues with a remark to the daughter Athena."

- "It is only dad who occasionally burns the pizza"

It sounded from Princess Marie, who in a scene in the documentary asks Athena to reveal a funny secret about Prince Joachim's abilities as a pizza baker.

- "What was the experience with the pizza", Marie asked her smiling daughter.

- "It turned black", answered Athena, and Marie then smoothed her remark out by saying

- "It was a pity, but a little fun", which made Prince Joachim laugh loudly.

Wow, in this photo she looks like a mini-Joachim; I never thought she looked like him before.

To me, she also has her father’s smile, where the lips sink into the face when she smiles. She’s absolutely charming!

I just googled a picture of Joachim as a child and wow yes I can totally see Joachim in Athena strongly. Otherwise her mother is very strong in her looks too. I think she will just blossom as an adult and it's lovely to see her get to a stage when borrowing mommy's necklace is a thing. She may end up looking like Marge as an adult which would not be a bad thing she has always had lovely features.
