Lovely girl, very well mannered. She is lucky to have such a wonderful family and get to grow up in such an exciting city.

Sometimes you look at girls this age and she is surely still a girl but you see the emerging woman. Athena will be a beauty. She is lovely and calm and seems guileless. If you can see a girl to this age and she is still oblivious to an outsider's gaze it is a miracle in this day and age. She is lucky enough to have a strong family around her. I predict good things.

I have fixed it for you because they are exiled on 2 handsome sinecures (penury) in such a backwater and it is very sad I find her (also Josephine) to be quite plain but they are very much 'unformed' as yet and that is not strange for only 10 years. Interestingly the two young boys (their brothers) are quite nice looking. They will all change a lot in these next years.

Today is Athena's birthday and the Instagram of the DRF wished her a happy birthday, referring to her by her new title of Countess. The majority of the comments I saw posted in response referred to her as a princess. Quite a public backlash response to Marge's decision. Nevertheless, happy birthday Athena!

Yup, Danes are not happy the Danish Royal House Verified 🇩🇰 Her Excellency Countess Athena has a birthday and turns 11 today 🇩🇰The Danes have spoken: Celebrating Countess Athena as a real princess. The queen's decision to change the titles and forms of address for Prince Joachim's four children meant that Athena went from being a princess to a countess from 1 January. Many Danes have provided comments on the celebration of Athena. The many comments on the birthday post on the royal house's official Instagram profile more than suggest that many Danes are still upset that Athena is no longer a princess.
Here are a few comments that are highly representative of the majority of comments, and which must be taken as a rather significant statement:
- Happy birthday beautiful princess Athena (for me you will always be a princess)❤️
- Congratulations, fairest Princess Athena. At home, you will never be anything other than just that 👑 🇩🇰♥️

Thank you PeDe one day I will learn the art of posting photos and copying and pasting comments. With regards to the latter often the sense of urgency overwhelms my ability to copy and paste!

Gotta wonder if some of these posters would feel half so strongly about Athena's (and the boys') title change, had Joachim and Marie not publicly voiced their dissatisfaction with it. I dislike the way Marge handled it as much as anyone but it's a done deal. Let it go. Anyway there are more important issues in the world than whether a child who's still being raised in extreme privilege & comfort is called Princess or Countess.

OTOH you have to wonder how the DRF will do in the future if they loose the support of the population because they don’t act in accordance with the population. Thankfully they’re mostly entertainment these days - entertainers living the most privileged lives. Of course there are more important issues than Joachim’s children loosing their titles but in a royal context which is de facto just as unimportant the topic is relevant and also dangerous for the DRF as Marge has clearly handled the situation very poorly.
