Well to be fair to MT, the dress fit her body size, what it didn't fit was the occassion (or her age and position):
Look at the side seams : they go flawlessly from skirt to bodice, showing that the fabric wasn't pulled.
What the seamstress did, was putting in a modesty piece, because the original version came with an incredibly low back (practically backless) and neither her age, nor the occassion allowed MT to wear such a daring cut.
IMO this was one instant in which a bespoke piece should have been ordered: with a back design that suited MT.

Seems like she should have chosen a different dress.

I had used this pic of Imeldas back before to point out the hanger helper strip which was visible through the chiffon sleeve.
That's what the red circle points to.
I was simply too lazy to download the pic again without the circle when I did the collage with MTs back.

Fairy when you look at the back shot it looks like a stuffed into a 3 sizes too small .... and I am being generous - she is no longer 20 something and a size 8 ...... she has the resources to dress well and she doesn't ....

Interestingly, it's not 100% the same ... the pattern is around the waist and at the end of the sleeves in Max', and at the seam in Mathildes dress.



Mathildes is the better version, I think.
Pity that the chiffon is crumpling. They both have crinkles in the lap area.
Often happens with Natans dresses.

It's such a similar look though. I think Mathilde has the nicer dress and Max suits the big green hat better. But I don't understand the loyalty to Natan from either of these ladies
