I know that there are threads for Royals with Horses and maybe dogs on RD, but maybe Royals and other animals?

Anyway, my one of my youngest nieces is going to have her 2nd birthday (gosh, with so many siblings it's just wall to wall birthdays, not that I'm complaining), and my child and several other nephews and nieces thought that it's a good idea for them to work together on an alphabet scrapbook (basically their way of wiggling internet time outside homework time during school day). So, there they are on their laptops and tablets searching for animal and plant pictures. Suddenly I find myself searcing for royals and animals. Obviously, the first thought is zoos. And farms. Smiley

Here's what I've been able to come up with so far Smiley

B for Bear, with Princess Anne

C for Cockatiel, with Princess Elizabeth of Belgium (from Parc Paradiso zoo)

D for Dog, with El Infante D. Antonio

E for Echidna, with Little Xian (during their Australian visit)

F for Falcon, with Maxima

G for Goats, with Mette-Marit

H for Hippo, with the Duke of Edinburgh (during a visit to Chester Zoo?)

K for Koala, not sure which one, depending on who's pointing

L for Lemur, with Victoria

M for (an angry looking) Monkey, with Emmanuel & Gabriel

P is for Pademelon, with Christian

and also for Panda, with Queen Sofia

R is for Rabbit, with Madde

S is for Sheep, with the Belgian royals

T is for Tiger, away from the Duke

W is for Wombat, with Vickan

Star Principessa! Thank you so much for the pictures!!!! They're so adoooorable.
It's interesting to see the different breeds each families seem to lean towards. Most of them small ones? Maybe it's so they're easy to cuddle. I guess, they also have bigger ones for the hunt, and such like.

But the small dogs must be in heaven. The palace is soooo huge and it will be a playground for them to run in. (Even if it's not indoors, the outdoors are even huger!)

I love that picture of Charles and Anne! Their dog seems very smug. Not often you an bury your owners.

Seems like most royal families have dogs instead of cats.
I guess, royal cats.... hmmm... I have a cat and it already acts like a royal. A royal cat, I suppose, will be even royaler!

King Carl Gustaf

Speaking of dogs, is this concerned-looking dog with C-G, the same one as Victoria's dog Jumbo?

I see the resemblance in the light-colored patch on the nose.

@Clara,

This seems to be a lion cub, am I correct?

Those panda pictures of Sofia are adorable!

@Debbydeb,

Sorry I do not know if it is the same dog, it could be possible. Or perhaps the dogs are related
