Sit! The Queen's skills as a dog handler is renowned. She uses hand signals and a whistle to control her Labradors.

Queen Beatrix:

This one looks like their playing "Act as if you can't see the dog" game.

Harry looks like he's Pier Piper of Dogelin!
And Queen Sofia is so cute with the pandas. Although, she's a braver soul than I am, letting the ponies anywhere near the carpets.

Squeeeee! Star Thanks Clara!

Wow, I didn't know that before! But definitely not as surprised as I thought I'd be. I guess dogs' senses are strong enough to know who's Queen around this place Smiley

and also for Panda, with Queen Sofia

I have always loved the pictures of Queen Sophia with the Pandas. I love Pandas in general but her expressions are priceless.

It seems a lion cub but I have no idea where that photo was taken  Angry

Juan Carlos, his siblings and parents:

It seems to be a young sheep to me.

Clara thanks for the lovely pictures.  Star
Congratulations to everyone for such a great display!!

I love most the one with King George V with his dog dressed up in a similar fashion to how his granddaughter, Elizabeth, will for decades dress for a day on the moors..
The photographers have done very well to have captured still, handsome animals and not just a bit of a blur in the corner of the pictures.   Champagne

They are gorgeous dogs, and some cats.  And very loving owners. Henrik and Beatrix take the cake.
I think that a cat would not pose for a photo as readily.  The Royal cats are sensibly inside.
The photos show their owners at their most relaxed - except for Carl-Gustav and Chris.  Nerves
Even the dog is suspicious of C-G.  Secret

I am taken by how Willem-Alexander looks quite like his great grandmother, Wilhelmina.  Yikes
King Edward VIII had a Pug as fat as his wife was thin. ?? Laugh bounce
