Gentleman Jack on HBO is a great show.  It's about Anne Lister, an 18th Century Yorkshire Landowner, and out and proud lesbian.

It's a co-production with the BBC. It debuted in the U.K. last Sunday. Enjoying it so far.

I'm going to have to give that one a try, thanks for the suggestion, Star

Currently watching OUR PLANET.

...And you'll see amazing bird courtship behaviour - I was totally in awe when I saw the dance of the Western Parotia, a bird of paradise living in Papua New Guinea.
That's him, but you definitely need to see him IN ACTION to understand what I mean.

He's in episode 3.

Verdict: HIGHLY recommended series  Thumb up.

The trailer gives a good & short impression on what to expect

Star Kaiserin, I love bird courtship. Mr Bird of Paradise puts on a dazzling show! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rX40mBb8bkU

Sir David also narrated a segment for BBC One discussing bower bird displays https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1zmfTr2d4c

Thanks for finding exactly this clip  Star.
Had to rewatch it, and it has lost nothing of its fascination.

I do also love that he cleans up the place before thoroughly ... would love to have him in my garden, he could be a great help and entertainment.

I prefer to delude myself that my favorite tv show comes back for a surprise extra season opening with Drogon landing in front of Kinvara for her to raise Daenerys. If I cant have that I'm going to end at season 7. The whole last season was DREADFUL, made no sense, didnt pay off the Prince who was promised, valanquar, etc.

I have heard many good things about Chernobyl. I intend to watch it soon.

Just yesterday we talked about it with my dance colleagues and someone required it.

She said that it's very informative, but also very depressive.

Is anyone watching the Spanish Princess miniseries based on Philippa Gregory's tragic fanfiction?

I'm just finished episode 4 and this thing is unintentional comedy. It makes the White Queen and White Princess look like accurate historical adaptations.

The only good thing I can say about this show is that the casting for Catherine of Aragon is very well done.

That's good,  I'm glad someone finds it unironically entertaining.

I just can't get over the glaring inaccuracies that were not required for the overall story telling I. e.  Henry 8 being the same age as Arthur and the fumbling of the stories of CoA's ladies in waiting.

There's just too much bad story telling and historical inaccuracies for me to enjoy the cheesy goodness.

I know I'm late to the party but I'm still like "what did I watch here?" re GoT.  Crazy Crap

For such a great series the last episodes were so disappointing, rushed and full of plot holes... I'm currently re-watching the old series and can't wait for the last books by GRRM.

They are my favorite set of books ever, by far. But if they are going with the ending that Dave and Dan inflicted on us, I will save my money. I have never been as disappointed in a show as I was in the last season.
