It's good for him that he has her.

I really cannot post about Laurent without pointing a finger at Albert and Paola. They should be ashamed of themselves for how they behaved as parents Ranting

I followed this family only recently, what's the story?

Read through this thread from the beginning.  You'll see the story.

He looks frail, rest of the family looks good but it looks more like an ad for a horror movie "ghosts in the forst" than Christmas. But thanks for posting it!  Thumb up

Laurent and Claire's Christmas card

Lovely children.  Claire looks stressed in the photo and Laurent looks odd.  I feel very sorry for Claire and those kids, and also for Laurent.  Their lives must be hell.

Agree!

They'll look ok.
Was this a private or personal visit?

Good for him for visiting.  IIRC, his parents couldn't be bothered to visit when he was hospitalized last year (or was it the year before?).   Roll Eyes

He's very good about supporting animal charities.  It's one of his nicer qualities.

This is really nice of them to do and take their children along for. That says a lot. I know he is a born prince and may have a hard time adjusting to people who treat him like a 'normal" person but this says a lot about their values as a family and good for them. I like the picture of Claire pouring a coke for someone very nice and normal.

Agree  Thumb up

I think he's one of those people who feels humans are a hurtful lot and animals are the only beings you can trust.  I certainly won't give him a hard time for that reason alone

She's married to a man who needs more mothering than her three children combined and who is constantly getting into scrapes. I'm sure there's a level of frustration with life. Years ago someone surmised that Laurent suffers from depression or unresolved issues from his childhood and that Claire was overwhelmed by what she'd agreed to take on. I don't doubt it.

Reminds me of the time that Claire defended Laurent, by angry intervene during a speech of Laurent.
The press kept on asking specific questions/ referring to a specific item to Laurent (I believe during an opening or so) and Claire told them enough is enough.
