There was a novel that came out a few years ago by Plum Sykes, called "The Debutante Divorcee".  In it was a character who was a prince who is notorious for cheating on his wife.  There were rumors all over the place that the prince character was based on Pavlos.
I've never read anything by Plum Sykes. Is it worth it? Fun trash? Good "beach reading"? Not that I ever go to the beach Cool

It's mind-numbing trash that is just okay.  Actually, it was a little bit irritating.  For a good beach read, I recommend anything by Marian Keyes.
Thanks, Pixiecat. The scary thing is, I read so much (and intensely) for work that I truly can't remember the last time I read anything sheerly for pleasure. When I was younger, reading (mysteries, biographies, historical fiction) was my greatest pleasure. It's been a loooooong time since I've read anything (other than RD ) just for fun... Cry

Me too.  I never get to read for fun any more.  Oh well.  The semester is almost over, so I can look forward to returning to mind-numbing crap in a few weeks.

MC seems like such a smart and independent lady (and lord knows she's got the money), I'm surprised she'd keep having kids with a cheater. Or stay. Pavlos doesn't seem worth it, IMO, and both her sisters have divorced their society spouses -- but of course maybe seeing that trauma close up is why she's stayed.

Who knows. MC certainly has it all over Pavlos in terms of $$$; and, IMO, she also has it all over him in terms of brains. Maybe she just really likes the title/semi-royal status him and they get on well?

Yeah, could be any number of things. Just sorta surprises me because it's not like divorce is going to rip apart a country here, or she can't enjoy the same social status on her own. But they do seem to like each other!

It is impossible to judge from the outside looking in what is worth it and what is not worth it. I see people do this all the time: "Why does she do that?" "What does he make that choice?" It's none of our business, but besides that, it is impossible to have any kind of objective understanding of another person's life choices. You may think something seems logical, but from MC's perspective, it looks entirely different, and she's making choices based on her own will, her own wishes, her own comfort, etc. What works for her does not necessarily work for you or for me, or her sisters or anyone else.

Here is Prince Pavlos at the launch party for Diane von Furstenberg's new interior design project in 2010.
Here he has no beard.
