I think it is cute that the vintage of both vinaceous sorts is identical with the year of birth of Beatrix and Claus.

Not sure how accurate this is Lynda, but this is apparently what Charles and Diana (and their guests) had in 1981 -

Brill in lobster sauce

Chicken breasts garnished with lamb mousse

Strawberries with Cornish cream

Wedding cake

Just found (something I had printed ) on Fred & Mary's wedding dinner:
4,000 glasses, 1,600 plates.  The evening dinner took place in a tent on the Fredensborg Palace grounds.  It took 18 men 3-weeks (from 8am -10:pm) to erect the tent which was 1,300 m2.  The ceilings of the tent were 8 meters high & carpeted in red.  The tent was lit with 40,000 watts (or enough to provide a small village w/lights).
The kitchen was set up in a separate tent which was 600 m2.  The garden salon for the 450 guests hosted coffee, cognac & cigars.
The first course was served by 130 waiters in tails & white gloves.
After the wedding waltz the cake which was 2 meters high and weighed 90kg.  7-bakeries prepared  the cake over a period of 1-month

Hi Lynda,

I read that Autumn and Peter were having Cornish crab and Welsh lamb, followed by coffee mousse and sugared doughnuts.
