Today, February 2, 2020, is the 18th weddingday of WA and Max. Decided to watch some clips, shots etc of their weddingday in Amsterdam, 2002. Including the evening before, offered by the Dutch people.

Max's dress by Valentino was indeed great

Wow!  Well happy anniversary to them!

Yay for 2-2-02 and for all the couples that got married on 2-2-20.

I remember we were skiing at the time and it was in the days before everything was streamed/wifi-d etc. I called a friend in the evening for a full report of the day!

I was trying to study at the time, somewhere else in NL, while also watching the report / live show of the wedding on my old personal (not for whole studenthome) tv.

One of my all-time favorite weddings!

Mine too.

A few years later Fredo would go all teary and emotional at the wedding. WA was also emotional, but more confined.

And off course the well known tear of Maxima, which was a very very good shoot by the director of the recording and his crew.(just like the opening of the organ doors in the church when the couple entered). BTW don't miss the elder lady in the background, who seems to be checking out the church during Adios Nonino  Tongue

http://

And with comment of the director(s), about 5 years later discussed in a Dutch tv show. The 2nd link is without the tv show surroundings, it shows the tear shot without and with tear:

I agree. It looked so simple, untill you noticed the embroided side parts (which were nicely and discrete done in the dress)

Max is a stunningly beautiful woman both then and now.  I know she has her moments but she still just lights up a room and always seems engaged and happy to be at whatever the event is.  I really think she is my favorite royal  Smiley
