Those earrings don't go with any aspect of the dress!
Leaving aside those earrings, she looks great and I really like the dress. And I love how happy and relaxed everyone looks; I bet it was a fun gathering!

With 26 people in one photograph, I give credit to the person who declared that some people should stand on the stairway.

By the way, October was Economics Education Month and my department did presentations to their students on current economists (to emphasize that Econ isn't a dead/dying field of study!) and, with all modesty, thanks to my constantly bringing up royals (and tiaras!!) whenever I possibly can at our lunchtime conversations, they included Maxima and her work with microfinance! To my great disappointment they did not include the history of the Stuart tiara and the magnificent moment she wore it with the Stuart diamond in Great Britain a few years ago!

https://www.nu.nl/konings...azan-en-niek-kimmann.htmlLoosely translated as: The royal couple has lunch with Fedja van Huêt, Hans Kazàn and Niek Kimmann
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima had lunch at Noordeinde Palace on Thursday afternoon with actor Fedja van Huêt, illusionist Hans Kazàn and BMX rider Niek Kimmann. Also a month ago, a so-called excelling lunch was organized.
The invitees were allowed to attend the lunch because they have distinguished themselves by delivering a special performance.
Kazàn recently won the Fred Kaps Award, which he received from the international magic company International Brotherhood of Magicians. Van Huêt won a Golden Calf for his role in De Ververdeling and Kimmann became both world champion and Olympic champion in BMX.
Other guests included Alfred Schaffer, the winner of the P.C. Hooft Prize, and Trouw cartoonist Tom Janssen, who received the European Cartoon Award this year.
The previous excelling lunch took place on 27 October. Then Marieke Lucas Rijneveld and Yvette van Boven, among others, sat down at Noordeinde Palace. It is more common that several star lunches are organized per year.

ANDREW DENTON: Yes. What did... When you first met, what did you see in each other? CROWN PRINCE FREDERIK: What did we see in each other? We saw... Well, it's a bit hard. It's a bit blurry, in a way, because it was just after the Olympics had started and it was one of those evenings where...
