Haven't read through the thread, but just putting this out there.

I love cut steel. The process that went into making it is quite remarkable. I have a pair of cut steel earrings from the 19th century, and I adore them.

And I don't care if I'm the only person who likes the cut steel tiara. I like it. And I think it could be worn well. (and I love that Sylvia found it in a cupboard randomly)

You're not the only 1,I like it as well  I just got sick of seeing it because for a while it seemed like that's the only 1 Vic wore.

Let's remember there are two cut steel tiaras. The one Silvia found, the Napoleonic one, is really not that bad:

The one Victoria found behind a door where it was clearly keeping it open is fugly:

P.S. I think I'll start calling Sophie's wedding tiara the Queen Vicky's Spare Parts Tiara.  Tongue

I love the Poppies tiara. As others have said, I think it would look better on dark hair. I also wonder how it would look on someone with short hair, like Alex has now.

I do hope that provisions have been made for Marie to continue the loaning of her tiara after QM is gone. I shudder to think of the combinations Mary is going to come up with when she is finally given the keys to the cookie jar.

I agree with Pss Astrid s tiaras, the Romanones one , and the golden stuff of Queen Margrethe, they re not my cup of tea.

Some other weird and not so pretty tiaras

Rania s tiara (doest fit her well).

The Burmese Rubi tiara. I dont like the mix of Ruby+diamonds

Personally,I don't mind rubies and diamonds being mixed but the design is odd. The rubies and diamonds aren't mixed well  Tongue

Since I admitted to hating Maddie's 1st tiara I might as well admit to hating her sister's 1st tiara as well. Vic's 1st tiara is too tiny and again waaay too plain. Though not as plain jane as Maddie's. It's diamonds and sapphires, though it's pretty hard to tell. 1 last bit of info, she hasn't worn it since 2007

I also like the poppies. One of its big problems, I think, is that it's mis-named---it's really a hair ornament, not a tiara.

Perhaps it was modern and considered beautiful in her time, but they way Queen Elisabeth of Belgium wears these head juwels is a bit strange to me:
