Haven't read through the thread, but just putting this out there.
I love cut steel. The process that went into making it is quite remarkable. I have a pair of cut steel earrings from the 19th century, and I adore them.
And I don't care if I'm the only person who likes the cut steel tiara. I like it. And I think it could be worn well. (and I love that Sylvia found it in a cupboard randomly)
Let's remember there are two cut steel tiaras. The one Silvia found, the Napoleonic one, is really not that bad:

P.S. I think I'll start calling Sophie's wedding tiara the Queen Vicky's Spare Parts Tiara.
