I know that most people love this tiara but I hate it....I find it so ugly Blush
It's the spanish La Chata tiara...

The shell tiara doesn't suit Letizia, it makes her features pointier. IMO the tiara looks nice on Queen Sofia, maybe because of her haircut

I agree, Queen Sofia looks like a mermaid queen with that tiara but on Letizia it for some reason looks weird and cheap. I love the aquamarines on Liz's Brazilian tiara but the whole set is sooo ugly!  Thumb down And I know turquoises should be nice, it's a lovely stone at best (simple jewellery and Native American jewellery) but I just hate it on tiaras and parures because it can look like the stones were made of plastic. Maybe it's the opaqueness.

They look like they're for punishment, not adornment.

They look like picket garden fences, strange succulents, braces and strange plastic items leftover thingys from the package of an IKEA cupboard.

It's one of my favourite tiaras!!  Blush
The size of that gorgeous top aquamarine is truly remarkable. It is too huge to be the prettiest feature of the tiara but I love the smaller side fan details.

That said, I think that the whole parure worn at once is overwhelming.

The parure looks to heavy to be worn, but the gems are wonderful. Maybe the tiara worn with the earrings would look nicer...

Some of these ugly tiaras - such as Victoria's cut steel ome , might look OK if not beautiful, if the hairdo behind them was really high & full.  I think even QE's aquamarines (so heavy and square) would look good or at least better with a higher hairdo to support it.

You know, I think this whole idea of a parure and wearing all the elements at once is so dated. It is possible to have too much of a good thing. Charlene seldom opts for bling, but when she does, it's minimalist and I think that's to contemporary tastes.  If I were to wear the Queen's aquamarine tiara, I think I'd leave all the other jewelry at home.  Sometimes when I see pictures of the royals all blinged out for a tiara event, I am reminded of that remark of Coco Chanel's about standing in front of the mirror when you're ready to go out and if everything looks just perfect, that it's time to take off one item. TOOOOO MUCH!

I like the idea of a parure but I don't like them wearing all the peices at once. Wearing say the tiara & matching necklace is great but when you add the earrings, bracelet, ring, ect it's all just too much.
