Marie, Joachim and the four children paid tribute today to the victims of yesterdays's attacks in Paris at the French embassy in Copenhagen today

I wondered if they would publicly come out and pay tribute.  It's lovely to see the whole family there.  It kind of looks like Felix and Nicolai are both staring at Marie because they worry about her.  Marie spent part of her childhood living in Paris, IIRC.  I think that her father still lives there. 

Not sure because of the picture's angle, but Nikolai seems to be gently supporting Marie with his arm.

Are there ANY photos of the Derfs where they are all touching each other? Every single one of the four is touching one of their family members here ...

Marie cancelled all her engagements for today and tomorrow. She is currently in France with her grandmother whose health is "in serious conditions".

but I didn't dare to post because obviously having a family member in "serious condition" is very sad.

That's too bad.  Marie seemed rather close with her grandmother.  I remember them holding hands in one of the wedding photos.

She was what almost 90 when that picture was taken and she looks mid 60s. Amazing, Marie looks so proud to be with her mamere. You can tell that Marie comes from a classy family. Poor girl between the Paris attacks and now this, been a rough few weeks for her.

I hope if it is the end it happens peacefully. Nice that Marie is in a position to be able to be near her loved ones. She is a very elegant lady. I love what she wore to the wedding. French women really do have a lot of inate chic. It is precious that Marie's wedding photo shows her holding hands with her grandmother proud as punch.
