The cynical part of me wonders how much of this is damage control by Albert and having seen how Philippe dealt with it and was praised for it I wonder if that played a part. I hope not, I hope this is the start of the building of some sort of relationship between them, but sad it took all this to have it happen.

Perhaps Paola had set a deadline or such in the past. She and Albert would get together again (and stay together) if he would deny and/or neglect Delphine. |

I see a lot of pain in Delphine's eyes and horrible body language from Paola, Albert just looks like his usual arrogant pr*ck. It was very big of Delphine to agree to meet them after all these years of persecution, very admirable that she can put that behind her and start to build back bridges that these two blew up in her face. The credit for this all belongs to Delphine, A&P are just trying to make themselves look good before God and man IMO. They're despicable I don't care how old and frail they are. |

What I expected and said a few pages ago happened. I hope it truly is genuine.
I do wonder why Paola looks like a visitor in her own home? The handbag has me puzzled all day already.
Anyone else any idea why she is walking around her own home with a handbag around her shoulders?
It almost feels like she only walked in on the meeting which could be the case. It is possible the encounter with Paola was only very short.
Nonetheless; they met and that's a good thing. It can't have been easy for Paola.

I could full well understand Paola only being in the meeting for a short time. At the end of the day most of the issues are between Albert and Delphine so her being there at all is a bonus (though why she couldn't take her handbag off is beyond me)
