Date night! Phil and Til visited the David Hockney exhibition at Bozar Brussels, looking very smart indeed

Two years ago, Phil actually visited Hockney at his studio

Future Crayon, I love the photomontages you put together and your coverage of Waffles. The picture of David Hockney and good king Phil was my first "awww" of the day.  Grin

aww, thanks! I like following the Waffles - they work, they are polite, they are sweet and just a bit dorky. They are a drama and laziness free zone!

I've had the super cold and have been in bed for the past 4 days, so here's a rapid Waffle Round Up:

Queen Til wrote an editorial about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on parents of children with disabilities for the journal of Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology https://t.co/GnCdNuorTr?amp=1

She then attended a roundtable with the Artemis Network

King Phil and Queen Til opened the 28th annual Europalia arts festival which this year looks at tracks and trains in art...

Angela Merkel was presented with the Grand Cordon of the Order of Leopold

And then Good Queen Til took part in a panel top mark the publication of the UNICEF State of the World's Children Report on Mental Health alongside EU Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides

Hope you're feeling better, FC!  It's amazing how a "simple cold" can knock us out for days.  Thanks for the updates and pictures!

Good King Phil today had an audience with Sylvie Marique and Catherine Delcourt who are overseeing reconstruction and mitigation work in Wallonia following the summer's devastating floods

He then received the traditional annual delegation from the "Keizerlijke Commanderie van de Edele Haspengouwse Fruyteniers" and was presented with a basket of new season Belgian pears and apples

Another Waffle Round-Up because I've been on a business trip:

On the 20th October, Til laid flowers to mark 25 years since 300,000 marched through brussels to protest child sexual exploitation

On the 21st, she visited the College de Pervez in her role as UN SDG advocate

And on the 22nd, Til attended the Queen Elisabeth Medical Foundation annual scientific awards

Meanwhile...

Phil welcomed a new batch of ambassadors on the 19th

Visited the water treatment centre Vivaqua on the 20th

On the same day, met the new president of the Belgian Olympic committee, and his predecessor

And finally, the Royal Order of the Horse Fishermen presented the Royal palace with 5 kilos of freshly caught shrimp

I love her hair in the first photo!  That roll/twist looks so pretty.

I was very intrigued by "The Royal Order of the Horse Fisherman" so I looked them up and found this article, if anyone else was as intrigued as I was!
