Final day! Phil and Til visited Philippi Village, a former cement factory in the Philippi Township, which is now a community and entrepreneurial space

Then lunch at Den Anker, a Belgian restaurant with views of Table Mountain

and then finally a visit to Kirstenbosch Botanic Garden where King Phil handed over two breadfruit trees raised at the Botanic Garden in Meise

I'd hem up that dress a mite. Looks excessively long on Mathilde.

A double dose of Good Queen Til today!

Firstly, Til spent some time at the Atomium, marking 25 years of the charity 'Child Focus', of which she is patron

and then on to the Art and History Museum in Brussels to the exhibition 'Expeditions to Egypt'

Quite a tough week for Til. Her uncle died last week (she attended his funeral yesterday), the CEO of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel died last Thursday (he was a family friend), and her friend Mimi Ullens was shot dead yesterday by her stepson.

How stressful for her. She is at an age where it is a reality that older relatives have a finite period of time left. And the same for friends. But how awful re the friend and the cause.

A very sad sequence of losses, particularly the last.
Sympathy to HM and wishing her strength.

I missed these pictures: Mathilde and Phil leaving South Africa at the end of their visit in March. Til looks great in yellow

The family, who are strongly Catholic, are currently walking another stretch of the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage trail, something they've been doing for a number of years

Oh god what an awful week for Tills. Tough going at the best of times, never mind with royal duties still going on.
