King Phil at an event for the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Orthodox Archdiocese of Belgium.



I like the fact that even after being king for 6 years, Phil always looks slightly surprised when people take photos of him, or he finds himself in the public eye.

For me,it seems to be about eyes today. He wears glasses on and off so,is he likely to have undergone some surgery? If so, some  people find it hard to keep their eyes open ,especially for photos, and feel the  need to blink more often. I don't mean this is a side-effect,since I'm not  a doctor, just your brain playing tricks on you.

It may be a medical condition like dry eye, or maybe some lingering problem from that medically induced coma he was in a while back.

It was. There was never a very clear explanation for why he was put in the coma. Or why his parents didn’t seem to care.

It was. There was never a very clear explanation for why he was put in the coma. Or why his parents didn’t seem to care.

Laurent is obviously the black sheep in this family and I'm not sure his parentsare to blame for neglecting him or if it's a hopeless case ofan adult not getting it together (probably both).
